Bluetti has relied on LiFePO4 for years and offers a broad range, from camping units to expandable home batteries.

The Bluetti range

The Elite series is Bluetti’s current line of portable power stations: the Elite 10 and Elite 30 V2 are compact companions for camping and the outdoors, the Elite 100 V2 offers around 1 kWh and high output, and the Elite 200 V2 around 2 kWh. There is also the AC series – such as the AC180 with around 1.4 kWh – and the Apex series for large, expandable systems in the home.

Bluetti offers its own storage solutions for balcony solar kits; you will find these on the balcony solar batteries page. All current power stations share LiFePO4 cells, a pure sine wave and, on most models, app connectivity.

Buying criteria for Bluetti

Bluetti offers often appear with changing bundles. Look out for the following points:

  • Capacity and continuous output to suit your use – the Elite 30 V2 is a camping unit, the Elite 200 V2 a backup reserve.
  • “Solar panel optional” means the panel is not included, only compatible.
  • Check the solar input in watts and the voltage range for your own panels.
  • UPS function and switchover time if the unit is to stay connected to the mains permanently.
  • Expandability of the AC and Apex series via matching extra batteries.

Bluetti compared with other brands

Bluetti, EcoFlow, Jackery and Anker SOLIX are technically on a similar level. Differences show in charging speed, weight, app, number of sockets and warranty period. The best approach is to compare two or three models of the same capacity directly via their data sheets. Since prices fluctuate a lot, it is worth checking the price history before you buy.

Typical applications

The small Elite models are light enough for camping and festivals. The Elite 100 V2 and the AC180 suit motorhomes, gardens and backup power for a fridge or router. The large Elite 200 and Apex models are designed for longer outages or as a mobile power source for tools. Whatever the size, plan for a solar panel if you want to stay self-sufficient for longer. With a suitable panel, an Elite 100 V2 can recharge roughly fully on a sunny summer day – depending on panel power and weather.
